Section : App Crash

If you open the app or do something in app and the whole thing just exits. Thats a crash

App crash's can happen for one reason or the other, we are going to explore the most common reasons and then there is an FAQ label and contact information below.

Why did it crash?

Firmware

If your phone software (Android/iOS) is not up to the minimum spec needed to run My Estate Life, this can result in instability within the app.  We strive to be all inclusive but also cutting edge, the supporting line for legacy devices and software has to fall somewhere and unfortunately this may exclude some older device users from experiencing MEL.

The result of firmware too old to run My Estate Life is generally an app that does not open.  But in certain cases it could also crash on opening or in operation.

Memory

My Estate Life does not need too much memory to run but this is the most common cause of a crash.  The app will try and do something like open Access Control and the device may run out of memory resources causing a crash.  This is unlikely on modern phones but it is possible with older generation devices that have less operational memory.

Keep your app up to date as we are consistently making improvements to memory optimisation.

Error exceptions

We test our app through rigorous scenarios and try to imagine every single situation a user, building or estate could do with it.  But there could always be that one action, button press, or certain thing that we didnt test that may cause the app to crash. We ask you to log the action that causes the reaction to our team and we will gladly investigate and resolve if it turns out to be a legitimate crash bug.
